About Club de Boxe de l’Est

Who are we?

Founded in 2005, the Club de Boxe de l’Est is a nonprofit organization (NPO) where people can practice boxing in many different forms and at all skill levels.

Guided by our core values of respect, mutual support, discipline, and passion, we approach each new day with the determination to do better than the day before.

It is therefore with humility and dedication that we welcome you to join us on this journey every day.

Rooted in our neighborhood, open to the world

When the Club was founded as a nonprofit organization (NPO), its goal was to get young people off the streets and help the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve community through sports activities. Even today, the Club de Boxe de l’Est is committed to making a real and lasting impact on its community.

Over the years, the Club has developed undeniable expertise, enabling local youth to reach the highest levels of amateur and professional boxing.

Today, the Club de Boxe de l’Est enables its members to excel in major competitions at the provincial, national, and even international levels.

Our part in making the world a better place, one jab at a time

Social Reintegration
Since 2010, the Club has been welcoming community service workers. In our view, sports and the discipline they require are a driving force for social reintegration. Thus, if they wish, each of them can use the facilities to try boxing for the first time or to continue their training after completing a block of community service hours. To date, the Club de Boxe de l’Est has given hundreds of people a second chance.
People with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and post-stroke effects can benefit from adapted boxing classes at the Club de Boxe de l’Est. Since 2019, the Club has been partnering with kinesiology experts from NeuroMotrix to help improve the quality of life for people living with neurological disorders through recreational boxing.

A proud partner of the school system since 2009, the Club de Boxe de l’Est supports young people’s academic perseverance and success by offering a boxing-focused sports-study program.

Over the years, the Club de Boxe de l’Est has partnered with several local organizations, such as the Garage à musique and PITREM, to introduce young people to sports and promote social reintegration. The Club regularly collaborates with social workers and healthcare professionals to help a diverse range of clients improve their physical condition and life circumstances through boxing training.

Our efforts are recognized

Like our members, we work every day to improve ourselves. It is this commitment to always doing better that guides every decision we make. Since 2013, the Club de Boxe de l’Est has been ranked #1 by the Fédération Québécoise de Boxe Olympique for the development of sports, and ranks among the top three in the “Excellence” category, which highlights the Club’s athletes’ performances in competitions.
